Events Manager

As a Remote Events Manager for our Southern California locations including Eureka, La Popular, and Amalfi Llama San Diego, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of event planning and execution . This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. The Events Manager will work closely with clients, vendors, and internal teams to ensure the successful delivery of events that meet or exceed expectations.
Salary Range: $80,000 - $90,000 per year
Key Responsibilities:
Event Planning:
Collaborate with the management team to understand their event objectives, preferences, and budget requirements.
Develop comprehensive event plans, timelines, and budgets, taking into account logistics, catering, entertainment, and other relevant details.
Source and secure event venues, vendors, and suppliers, negotiating contracts and pricing as needed.
Coordinate with internal teams, including marketing, design, and operations, to ensure seamless execution of events.
Client Relationship Management:
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the event planning process, providing regular updates and addressing any concerns or questions.
Build and maintain strong client relationships, anticipating their needs and delivering exceptional customer service.
Conduct post-event evaluations with clients to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement.
Liaise with external vendors and suppliers to confirm event requirements, including audiovisual equipment, catering, decor, and transportation.
Manage vendor contracts, invoices, and payments, ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints and quality standards.
Cultivate relationships with preferred vendors and explore opportunities for cost savings and value-added services.
Logistics and Operations:
Oversee all logistical aspects of events, including setup, breakdown, and on-site coordination.
Develop contingency plans and troubleshoot any issues that arise during events to minimize disruptions and ensure a positive guest experience.
Coordinate staffing needs, including event staff, volunteers, and security personnel, to maintain a safe and welcoming environment.
Budget Management:
Create and manage event budgets, tracking expenses and revenue to ensure financial objectives are met.
Identify cost-saving opportunities and negotiate favorable terms with vendors to optimize budget allocation.
Promotion and Marketing:
Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional materials and strategies to drive attendance and engagement for events.
Leverage social media, email marketing, and other channels to effectively promote upcoming events to target audiences.
Equipment Used Physical Demands and Work Environment
Position requires prolonged standing, bending, stooping, twisting, lifting products and supplies weighing, and repetitive hand and wrist motion; working with and around hot, cold, and hazardous equipment in a fast paced and congested environment that will occasionally be loud, hot, cold and/or physically demanding. Position requires occasional travel that may consist of driving and/or airplane flights for a period of one or more days therein requiring one or more overnight stays; notice of travel may be given with very short notice. Position requires occasional training that may take place on or off - site, by phone and/or online.

Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Marketing, or related field.
Proven 3+ years prior experience in event planning and management for large (500+guests) events, preferably in a corporate or hospitality setting.
Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
Proficiency in event management software and tools, such as event planning software, project management platforms, and CRM systems.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules.
Proven track record of generating revenue from events
Experience with integrating social media into event planning and execution
Budget management and negotiation skills.
