We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Superintendent to join our team in Dallas, TX.
Position Overview: The Superintendent will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of ground-up construction projects from start to finish. This role requires a hands-on leader with extensive experience in the construction industry, particularly in Industrial, Retail, Medical, and Automotive sectors. The Superintendent will ensure that projects are completed safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management: Oversee all phases of construction projects, from initial planning to completion, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
Site Supervision: Directly supervise and coordinate the activities of construction workers and subcontractors on-site.
Quality Control: Ensure all work meets or exceeds the project specifications, building codes, and quality standards.
Safety Compliance: Implement and enforce safety protocols to maintain a safe work environment for all site personnel.
Scheduling: Develop and maintain construction schedules, coordinating with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and completion of tasks.
Budget Management: Monitor project budgets, track expenses, and provide regular updates to project managers.
Problem Solving: Identify and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during construction, ensuring minimal disruption to project timelines.
Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of daily construction activities, including progress reports, time sheets, and material logs.
Client Relations: Communicate effectively with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements and expectations are met.
Team Leadership: Mentor and lead on-site personnel, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Superintendent in ground-up construction projects, with a focus on Industrial, Retail, Medical, and Automotive sectors.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred; relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
Certifications: OSHA 30-hour certification and other relevant industry certifications preferred.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in construction management software, scheduling tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Knowledge: Thorough understanding of construction methods, materials, building codes, and safety regulations.
Leadership: Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a diverse team.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Organizational Skills: Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
