Controller
A mid-size firm located in Arlington, VA seeks a Controller to manage the financial activities and the daily operations of the accounting department of the firm.

responsibilities:
· Oversees billing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, trust and payroll.
· Trouble shoots incorrect transactions being processed through the accounting
system.
· Completes month end closing & balancing.
· Completes monthly bank reconciliations and related journal entries.
· Assists with cash management and other banking related items.
· Creates and manages annual revenue and expense budgets
· Manages financial reporting data/software. Creates and distributes reports on a monthly,annual, and ad hoc basis.
· Oversees benefits billing and 401k pension plan
· Assists with partner compensation calculations, reporting and K-1's
qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree is required; CPA preferred
· 5+ years of accounting or auditing experience
· Strong systems and technical skills required
The position works on a hybrid work schedule.
Salary is $120,000 - 140,000
