**Description**
Our Data & Analytics Center of Excellence team is seeking a Senior EDW Analyst that will bring a business perspective with technical expertise in the Data Warehouse space. The Senior Analyst will be part of an organization where we are small enough to be agile and big enough to make a difference. This role will work closely with peers, business stakeholders, end users, and technical teams to drive continuous improvements and engage in larger projects increasing the size, quality, and value to the enterprise data warehouse.
Here's what you can expect from the job and what you need to be successful:
**Job duties**
* Engage with business units and stakeholders to define scope of effort, work deliverables, and business requirements and help resolve/escalate issues as needed to successfully deliver project(s) and maintain the existing data warehouse
* Collaborate with multiple internal teams (finance, marketing, mortgage, deposits, and others) and technical teams on data requirements, including data structure, data flow, dependencies, and data mapping
* Collaborate with EDW Product Manager, Enterprise Architect, Data Architect and others to plan and execute the EDW roadmap to optimize its Completeness, Stability and Usability, leveraging best practices for Snowflake and Cloud Data Warehousing
* Engage with technical team to analyze, trouble shoot, resolve production issues, and maintain data quality and support requests reported by the business users
* Publish release notes for enhancements, new data, bug fixes to business user community
* Develop and monitor EDW support KPIs and indicator dashboard
* Assist in verifying accuracy and completeness of data models, data relationships, mappings and definitions
* Identify metrics to drive the business forward and turn data into valuable insights by leveraging creative solutions, effectively communicating insights to key stakeholders
* Act as a subject matter expert in advising and enabling enterprise reports, dashboards, visualizations, resulting in complex solutions for cross-functional initiatives
* Assist with the design and build of a business data layer, semantic layer to support the business community in working with EDW data
* Profiling and analyzing data to develop insights and enable requirement gathering
* Develop and maintain documentation, data lineage dashboard, business processes and user guides
* Defining and documenting data quality requirements so that data is complete and accurate
* Create, execute and manage user enablement plan including writing process documents, how to queries, data visualization, etc.
**Essential Skills**
* Minimum 5 years experience as a Data Analyst, preferably in the high-tech or financial services industry
* Minimum of 3 years working with Enterprise Data Warehouses and familiarity with EDW design practices. Preference for experience using Snowflake
* Ability to anticipate needs and prioritize projects in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and high-volume peaks while producing high-quality work
* Exemplary oral and written communication skills with the ability to translate complex statistical and quantitative analysis into simple real-real world inferences for business teams and senior management
* Strong analytical, problem-solving and critical thinking skills with excellent attention to detail
* Proven ability to build consensus across multiple stakeholder groups through partnership
* Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders
* Knowledge of database design and concepts is mandatory: dimensional modelling technique
* Hands on knowledge and experience with data analysis, data profiling, and data validation with SQL
* Demonstrated experience in using common business intelligence tools (such as OBIEE, BOBJ, MicroStrategy, Power BI) with strong preference for Tableau
* Strong knowledge of analytical programming languages (such as SQL, Python, R)
* Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
* **Minimum Education:** Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Mathematics, Statistics or related field; or equivalent work experience
