Experienced, humble, curious data aficionado. As a Senior Data Analyst, you will need to have solid experience discovering, analyzing, summarizing, cleaning, and documenting data. This Senior Data Analyst role is responsible for investigating data related processes, analyzing data, discovering requirements, translating requirements into actionable activities for the project team, and identifying opportunities for improvement in process, data, or quality. You will work with clients within a project engagement to support their business and technology needs, by understanding their data and documenting data platform requirements. What You Will Do
You will work on various Big Data, Data Warehouse and Analytics projects for our world class clients. In addressing complex client needs, you will work as part of appropriately sized and skilled teams. You may experience a solo project, be a part of a team with a project manager, a data engineer and a report developer, or part of an even larger team. This will give you the opportunity to interact with clients, analyze and document requirements, provide input into the features and design of data and analytical solutions, and execute as part of the project team. You will primarily be working with the latest Microsoft technologies, including Azure, Fabric, Dynamics 365, and Power BI.
Your Duties And Responsibilities
Analyze data processes to understand, document, and revise those processes
Analyze, clean, and study data to achieve specific project outcomes, to be defined for each project
Lead discovery, requirements gathering, and analysis sessions with clients to understand data needs and translate them into team actions to develop data solutions
Work within a project team, typically consisting of 3 – 5 people to execute client data projects
Establish patterns and practices for data analysis, transformation, cleansing, and requirements translation
Identify data governance policies and procedures to ensure data confidentiality, integrity, and availability
Stay current on emerging technologies and trends and recommend improvements to the organization's data management and analysis capabilities
What You Must Have To Be Considered
Strong verbal and written communication skills tying together technology and architecture to achieve successful business outcomes
At least 2 years of consulting experience in a data analyst role
At least 5 years of work experience in data and analytics or strongly related fields
At least 2 years of experience working with SQL
Understanding of data management and visualization practices
Knowledge in ETL/ELT tools and concepts such as data mappings, transformations, and pipeline orchestration
Proficiency with data modeling and data analysis tools
Basic knowledge of data architecture concepts, including data storage, data engineering, data modeling, performance, governance
Strong problem solving and time management skills
What Would Be Nice For You To Have
Experience with the Microsoft SQL technology stack, including SQL Server, SSIS and SSRS
Experience with Microsoft Azure data platforms, such as Power BI / Fabric, Synapse, Data Factory
Experience working in Azure DevOps with Boards, Repos and Pipelines
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 and its data
Experience performing Quality Assurance activities for data applications, including reporting
