What we’re looking for!
An experienced storyteller, a marketing geek, a social media connoisseur, a maker of change, and a champion for the marginalized; more formally known as a Marketing & Communications Manager. You’ll oversee the day-to-day marketing activities and help set the long-term strategy for our organization. Not to fret, you’ll work closely with the CMO to lead all annual campaigns and direct-to-donor marketing activities, with a focus on brand development.
What you’ll do!
Build marketing programs to support specific marketing objectives across different channels and segments in support of overall strategic marketing needs
Develop, implement, and oversee in partnership with the CMO a comprehensive communications, marketing, and digital strategy initiatives.
Lean into marketing trends and optimize for our use on varying channels
Lead the execution of marketing programs from start to finish, driving collaboration with the stakeholders and leveraging the right internal processes
Develop from scratch a donor relations loyalty campaign alongside CMO forengagement with existing subscriber base
Create life-cycle communication plan for all donors/supporters
Manage paid media strategy and campaigns, including Google and social mediaadvertisements
Direct and oversee PPC and paid social campaigns to enhance digital revenue generation.
Oversee transitions and integrations of CRM and fundraising platforms
Rethink brand partnerships with a focus on existing partners but with the growth mindset to establish new relationships
Use project management tools to track campaign progress and metrics
Lead brainstorming meetings for new campaign launches
Manage and improve fundraising campaigns, measuring results.
Develop project timelines and track key phases critical to project success
Ensure on-time and on-budget delivery of marketing campaigns
Coordinate marketing campaigns with varying internal departments
Maintain effective internal communications to ensure that all relevant organizational functions are kept informed of marketing objectives
Ensure campaigns are on brand and help further brand identity
Regularly evaluate marketplace to gain a competitive advantage via marketing and positioning campaigns
Evaluate the impact of marketing programs in achieving their stated objectives, including impact and retention
Work closely with graphic designer and other internal stakeholders, and external agencies and vendors.
What you must have!
The belief that you can change the world!
5+ years of experience in marketing with bachelor’s degree in marketing or business or similar, including 2 years of experience managing contractors and team members
Experience building marketing programs and reporting results
Expertise in designing, implementing, and managing complex communication and promotional campaigns addressing issues of poverty and socio-economic disparities in diverse cultural and geographic contexts or similar
Strong understanding of monitoring, evaluation, and experience in utilizing data for decision-making and marketing improvement
Must be familiar with the marketing project process e.g. Creative brief, project kick-offs, copywriting, creative, ad reviews, etc.
Exposure to digital and direct response marketing
Strong creative outlook, written and verbal communication skills
Competence as a creative writer with an eye for great emails and landing pages
Strong project management skills, and the ability to work independently to drive processes to completion
Strong problem-solving ability, including metrics-driven thinking
Exercise sound judgment utilizing your background experiences in real time
Work effectively with people from culturally diverse backgrounds
The Marketing Manager will receive direct strategic guidance from the CMO with supervision from the Director of Development.
