Service Writer

The Service Writer serves as the central point-of-contact for all automotive service and repair matters. The Service Writer's responsibility is to listen and thoroughly understand customer problems, arrange for an appropriate service/repair solution, and set/manage delivery expectations on the part of the customer and technician(s) alike. Acting as a trusted adviser, the Service Writer ensures that the proposed service/repair solution appropriately matches the service/repair requirement. The Service Writer's job is to earn repeat business and grow new business by delivering exceptional quality service and repair work that matches an honest and accurate estimate.
We are interested in recruiting an individual who has exceptional people skills (friendly, sincere, engaging) and is a problem-solver by nature. Although strong technical knowledge is desired, we are open to applicants who have an aptitude for automotive service and repair -- we will provide comprehensive training to the right individual. The ideal Service Writer candidate has a high school diploma/GED, an affinity for automotive maintenance/repair, an unrestricted driver's license and clean driving record, and a strong desire to learn and grow with our business.

60,000 - 100,000 per year
RESPONSIBILITIES
Deliver energetic exceptional customer service while listening and consulting customers.
Communicating and connecting with Technicians to complete vehicle needs.
Supervising bays and building computerized repair orders and sourcing parts.
Deliver and discuss pricing estimates with customers as well as promoting shop service specials with sales skills.
Customer consulting/sales for vehicle needs.
Lead, assist, and empower a team while keeping in tune with our companies’ vision, purpose, core values, and Wenco culture.
Meeting weekly and monthly matrix goals
Vendor communication and continuing strong relationship connections.
Overall cleanliness and organization of the facility grounds.
Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma/GED (advanced education desired)
Exceptional customer service skills and sales
Exceptional listener and communicator (written and verbal)
Point-of-sale and electronic payment media skills desired
Sales experience desired
Highly collaborative nature
Current and unrestricted driver's license
Able to operate a standard transmission
Impressive work ethic
Strong math skills
Automotive technical knowledge a plus
