LVN Supervisor (LVN SUPV 1)
Job Summary
The LVN Supervisor is responsible for sustaining an environment of intrinsic good will for the practice while providing optimum services to patients. The LVN Supervisor provides licensed medical support to medical care providers as a vocational nurse for the department/clinical team to which it is assigned. The LVN Supervisor is supervised by a licensed physician or registered nurse when performing duties within the vocational nurse scope of practice. The LVN Supervisor works under the direction of clinic/department management for administrative purposes, including customer service, professional behavior & development, assignment & scheduling of work, and performance of job functions not requiring supervision by an LIP. This position functions under the direction of a clinic manager (practice manager or nurse manager) to supervise a group of employees and provide accountability as delegated for the day-to-day operations of the designated clinic location(s).

Minimum Qualifications
Must provide documentation of graduation from an accredited school of vocational nursing, or completion of education and experience as a corpsman in the United States military.
At least three (3) years of recent LVN experience in an outpatient ambulatory clinic setting
Valid current California licensure as a licensed vocational nurse.
Current American Heart Association (AHA) CPR or UCDH-issued certification.
Valid Intravenous (IV) Therapy and Blood Withdrawal Certification.
Skill and ability to perform functions commensurate with training and experience as a licensed vocational nurse.
Knowledge of clinic's practices and protocols related to medical records, medical assisting, nursing support, and other business and office procedures.
Knowledge of standard hiring protocols. Skills to interview applicants utilizing effective screening techniques.
Preferred Qualifications
At least 1 year of supervisory experience
Proficiency in EPIC and Microsoft Office Applications.

Rancho Cordova office has six primary care physicians and one nurse practitioner. It also has an outpatient infusion department, laboratory and X-ray services.

Physical Demands and Work Environment
Ability to lift, move, and/or position patients as necessary to room them and prepare them for exams and procedures.
