Vice President of Sales

Bassham Foods is seeking an experienced and dynamic Vice President of Sales to lead our sales team in driving sustained sales and margin growth across a multi-state area. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in food service sales, with expertise in new customer acquisition and contract management.
Responsibilities:
Identify opportunities to increase sales and margins in existing accounts.
Build and maintain positive relationships with strategic customers to create long-term value and generate new business opportunities.
Lead and motivate the foodservice sales team to achieve the best and most profitable sales opportunities.
Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing plan that includes competitive analysis and supports company goals and objectives.
Drive key sales strategies and initiatives to meet and exceed targets.
Participate in strategic account planning to maximize revenue and profitability.
Collaborate with marketing and other departments to develop effective strategies and ensure alignment across the organization.
Analyze current processes and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Assess staff performance and provide coaching and development opportunities as needed.
Deliver quarterly sales projections and reports to senior management.
Stay up to date with developments and trends in the marketplace to identify new opportunities and stay ahead of competitors.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in the food service sales industry, with a demonstrated track record of acquiring new customers across a multi-state area.
Proven experience in contract management.
Previous experience as a VP of Sales or General Sales Manager preferred.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve goals.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute effective sales strategies.
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data and identify trends and opportunities.
Results-oriented with a focus on driving revenue and profitability.
