Salary Range: $70,000 - $90,000 (commensurate with experience)
Travel: 50% or more

The District Manager at US Storage Centers is a multi-unit leader that loves developing people and getting results. Being a District Manager at US Storage Centers is an incredible opportunity for not only yourself but to be able to contribute and develop a team to reach their goals and provide outstanding service to our customers. To be successful, youll need to be a motivator and mentor, someone who can guide the store managers and develop their talent in order to provide an award-winning experience. You should have experience leading multiple stores, multiple team members as well as also being responsible for ensuring district wide customer satisfaction and measuring the financial performance of all the locations in your district. Our District Managers will manage a varying number of stores anywhere from 8 16 and will vary based on geography and complexity of those stores. But most of all, youll be inspiring a team of great people committed to creating a welcoming environment.
This position contributes to facility profitability by developing and managing business relationships and being committed to customer satisfaction. This is a supervisory role who pays close attention to detail and has general sales, marketing and computer skills.
Key Essential Functions and Area of Responsibilities
Perform a variety of functions which lead to the efficient operation of several storage facilities.
Management of rental rates, discounts, Tenant Protection Plan and other income sources.
Monitor controllable expenses to provide the highest R.O.I. for each store
Performs monthly site audits and inspections to meet Company goals and industry standards
Interview and hire site managers
Continued training of Property Managers, District Trainers and Sr. Managers
Enforce company policy and procedures
Schedule employee work hours
Solicits customer feedback to understand customer needs and follows up on all customer service issues
Performs semi-annual audits and facility checklists, submits findings to division office and ensures follow up on any necessary action
Utilizes management information tools and analyzes financial reports and address trends and issues in district performance
Develops the store management team to deliver legendary customer experiences in all stores
Manages through unusual events to keep district operating to standard
Leads with integrity, honesty and knowledge that promote the culture and values of US Storage Centers
Plans, identifies, communicates and delegates key responsibilities and practices to the store managers, District Trainers and Sr. Managers to ensure smooth flow of operations
Reviews store environments and key business indicators to identify problems, concerns, and opportunities for improvement in order to provide coaching to the store employees to take action and achieve operational goals
Keeps abreast of current and future competition through competitor property visits
Coaches store managers on the ongoing repairs, maintenance, and Vendor Contracts
Effectively coordinate special projects such as Facility conversions/openings
Effectively communicates with Leadership, mid-level management and facility employees
Regular worksite attendance in accordance with Companys Attendance Policy is required for this position
Other Duties As Assigned Periodic special projects and duties may be assigned based on Company need and requirements
Must be able to perform a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another, with frequent interruptions or distractions and within tight deadlines

Education and/or Experience
Bachelors degree preferred but not required. Equivalent of 3-5 years work-related experience and/or training in retail sales, retail, customer service, sales management and/or multi-unit management
Exceptional leadership skills and experience supervising others
Valid driver's license and reliable form of transportation are required in order to perform essential functions of this job
Weekend availability may be occasionally required
Be flexible and have the ability to travel up to 50% of time
Possess the eagerness and work ethics to succeed in a customer service environment

Climb : occasionally ascends/descends a flight of stairs to service the lights and/or reach overhead
