Responsibilities
The following duties will be assigned accordingly and additional duties will be assigned if necessary:
Assists the Controller in managing corporate accounting policies for company.
Assists in preparing reports which summarize actual and budgeted company business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses, and earnings based on past and present operations.
Responsible for preparing monthly, quarterly and annual General Ledger closings including preparing and entering journal entries.
Preparation and review of account reconciliations as well as facilitate the resolution of issues of General Ledger reconciliations.
Assist in development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the department.
Assists the Controller in providing management with timely reviews of organization's financial status and progress in its various programs and activities.
Assists the Controller as needed during the annual audit of company's accounts.
Cash forecasting and ensure complete and accurate filing of all corporate forecasting, borrowing and compliance reports.
Oversee Company's fixed assets and policies related to fixed assets.
Oversees Company's accounting for inventory and applicable reserves, adjustments, LCM analysis, NRV analysis and other analysis related to the inventory valuation.
Responsible for ad-hoc analyses as may be needed to analyze financial results.
Additional special projects as they arise.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Manages multiple subordinates in the Accounting department.
Is responsible for working with the Controller in the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these employees.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree required
CPA required
5+ years of relevant work experience required
Public accounting experience required. Big 4 firms highly preferred
Proficiency in Excel
Great Plains and/or Sage experience preferred
