Our Client is deploying security tools on Windows and Linux endpoints, so all endpoint systems are managed and are in compliance with cyber policies. This individual will be accountable for Windows endpoints, Linux endpoints in various Engineering Groups. Responsibilities on the above systems include - Deploying security tools, System Administration, engineering & provisioning, operations & support, and research & development to ensure IP protection and continual innovation.
Top 3 Daily responsibilities - Assessment and Deployment of security tools on endpoints, IT support for Engineering Groups, and Investigate/trouble-shoot endpoint systems issues.
Responsibilities :
Assess and deploy security tools on endpoints
Investigate and trouble-shoot endpoint systems issues
Perform regular IT support for Engineering Groups
Maintain system standards and build processes for End of Support Life systems
Ensure all systems are part of virus scanner, DLP, EDR solutions and get regular updates from backend servers
Apply OS patches and upgrades on a periodic basis and upgrade administrative tools and utilities. Configure / add new services as vital to the health and hygiene of the infrastructure
Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems, and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of key jobs
Develop and maintain Golden Image process and procedure for Windows systems
Research and recommend innovative, and where possible automated approaches for system administration tasks
Identify approaches that use our resources and provide economies of scale
Maintain operational, configuration, or other procedures
Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required
Configure CPU, memory, and disk partitions as required
Effectively communicate with different functional groups like Engineering, Facilities, IT, Cyber and Vendors
Should be able to do Rack and Stack of servers in Data Center
Requirements:
3-5 years' experience on Windows, Hypervisors, and endpoint devices support
Windows - Windows XP/7/10, Windows server 2003/2008/2012/2016/2019 etc
Linux - RedHat, CentOS, SuSE, Alma, Rocky, Ubuntu etc
Experience in deploying Anti-Virus, DLP solution, Endpoint Detection and Response security tools
Experience in installing new and rebuild existing servers/desktops and configure hardware, peripherals and services
Experience of supporting engineering users for day-to-day support in large corporate environment
Install and configure systems infrastructures for Engineering Tools Developments
Scripting knowledge is a plus
Knowledge on Virtualization technologies like VMware, Hyper-V, Nutanix and Citrix Xen Server
Knowledge on AD, DFS, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP Networking, VPN, imaging Technologies like Acronis
Knowledgeable and experienced with industry standard methodologies in Project Management, Production Planning and Asset management
Knowledge of core Planning, Scheduling, Purchasing and Logistics
