We are searching for a Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis to join our growing team. This highly motivated individual will report to the Director, Financial Planning and Analysis. The individual hired into this new position will possess effective cross functional partnering, financial planning, analysis, and management skills. The position requires strong Excel and analytical skills and will serve as subject matter expert in corporate financial tracking and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage G&A departmental Budget and Forecast processes, including planning template preparation, leading quarterly financial review meetings, data entry into the FP&A planning system and reporting
• Responsible for month end reporting, including departmental actual vs. budget/forecast reports
• Partner with Director, Financial Planning and Analysis in supporting ORIC’s Clinical Development department with significant focus on clinical trials financial planning
• Work closely with other Finance/Accounting team members during month end and quarter end close, including responsibility for clinical trial cost modeling utilized for monthly accruals
• Participate in preparation of quarterly Audit Committee and Board of Directors reporting
• Conduct financial modeling and reporting in support of ORIC’s long-term financial plan
• Serve as administrator for the FP&A planning system (Adaptive Insights)
• Review/Approve purchase requisitions for alignment with Budget
• Support company insurance renewals
• Perform ad hoc financial analysis where needed
Qualifications/Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in accounting, finance, or related fields
• Minimum of 5 years’ relevant FP&A experience. Experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry partnering with R&D and/or Clinical teams preferred
• Advanced Excel skills, experience with Adaptive Insights and NetSuite a plus
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Flexible and adaptable
The anticipated salary range for candidates who will work in our San Diego location is between $120,000- $150,000. The final salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and length of experience within the job, type and length of experience within the industry, education, etc.
