SureCo is seeking a Director of Content Marketing to join our dynamic team and drive impactful content and messaging strategies, in support of our efforts to transform healthcare for working Americans. Responsibilities:
Editorial Management: Develop and manage an editorial calendar aligned with business objectives.
o Empathetic Messaging: Unlock key messaging and content strategy for our target audience (primarily Benefits Consultants/Brokers and HR Professionals).
o Content Creation: Write and edit long- and short-form content to drive engagement and move prospects through our sales funnel.
o Guide Development: Create downloadable guides on employee health benefits, insurance technology, and related topics, providing valuable insights to our audience.
o Blog Writing: Produce high-quality blog posts to captivate and educate readers on current and emerging industry topics.
o Thought Leadership: Ghostwrite thought leadership articles by collaborating with C-suite executives, positioning SureCo as an industry leader.
o Expert Collaboration: Build relationships with subject matter experts (executive leadership, compliance managers, sales directors, customers) to leverage their stories.
Marketing Ops Content:
o Digital Content: Craft website and social media content to engage audiences and build brand awareness.
o Email Campaigns: Write compelling email copy to drive engagement and conversions.
o Conversion Techniques: Implement techniques to guide readers deeper into SureCo's offerings and convert them into Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs).
Industry Research: Stay updated on sector research and trends, using this information to create relevant and timely content.
Amplification and Delivery: Identify appropriate channels for distribution, manage email workflows, and ensure content delivery.
Support Sales and Operations: Develop content to support sales and operations teams, ensuring consistency across all touchpoints.
Quality Control: Edit, fact-check, and proofread content to ensure accuracy, consistency, and overall quality.
Deadline Management: Thrive in a fast-paced environment, meeting tight deadlines while delivering high-quality content.
Requirements
Experience: Proven experience as an editor or content marketing writer, preferably in the B2B insurance or employee benefits industry.
Writing Skills: Excellent writing skills with a strong attention to detail, capable of writing in a clear, concise, and engaging manner.
Independence: Ability to work independently towards SureCo’s business goals without robust brand briefs or guidance.
SEO Knowledge: Solid understanding of SEO principles and ability to create optimized content.
Research Skills: Ability to conduct research and analyze complex information to create informative content.
Content Creation: Experience in creating guides, blog posts, and thought leadership articles.
Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Technical Skills: Familiarity with content management systems and collaboration tools.
Communication: Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Education: Bachelor's degree in marketing, journalism, or a related field.
