About the job:
This is a hybrid or remote position within the state of Texas. Occasional business travel may be necessary up to 10%. As our Product Counsel you will support Digital.ai’s growing legal needs domestically and internationally. Your primary role will be the review and negotiation of agreements, with a focus on technology transactions.
What you will do:
Implement and review product legal compliance processes, agreement templates, standard terms and policies, marketing and product collateral, and customer notices.
Structure, review, draft and negotiate a wide range of agreements.
Manage a large workload and prioritize responsibilities to address dynamic priorities.
Convey complicated information to business partners in a concise and professional manner.
Provide support regarding contract interpretation and guidance.
Provide strategic and practical advice to internal clients such as finance, marketing and procurement.
Identify and advise on laws and regulations pertaining to transactions.
Hold business partners accountable and ensure contractual obligations are met.
Provide support as needed to other functions of the legal department.
What you will bring:
Juris Doctorate degree.
Admission to at least one state bar.
2 or more years of legal experience as a product or technology attorney.
Experience drafting and negotiating fast-paced and complex technology and commercial transactions (SaaS agreements, software license agreements, development agreements, etc.)
Driven team member
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience working in-house.
Experience in intellectual property
Experience in data privacy and security.
