Are you a seasoned Legal Secretary with a passion for law and a knack for organization? Do you have a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of legal terminology, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently and accurately? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you! We're seeking a Permanent Legal Secretary to join our dynamic team. This role is integral to our legal team's success, offering support to our attorneys and partners while managing a diverse array of tasks and responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

As a Permanent Legal Secretary, you will:

1. Prepare and edit legal documents and correspondence including letters, memos, contracts, and court filings.

2. Manage attorney calendars, coordinate appointments, court dates, and deadlines.

3. Conduct legal research, compile case materials, and maintain case files.

4. Collaborate with internal staff and partners to ensure efficient workflow and meet deadlines.

5. Handle incoming and outgoing communications including phone calls, emails, and mail.

6. Transcribe legal proceedings, meetings, and attorney notes.

7. Assist in the preparation of billing statements and expense reports.

8. Maintain a high level of confidentiality in all aspects of work.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

1. A minimum of 4-5 years of experience as a Legal Secretary.

2. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).

3. The ability to type 60+ words per minute accurately.

4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

5. Proven ability to meet deadlines and manage time effectively.

6. Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

7. Experience in legal research, legal documentation, and legal administration.

8. Strong legal writing skills and the ability to transcribe accurately.

9. An enthusiastic and driven team player attitude.

10. The ability to collaborate effectively with staff and partners to get work done.
