Principal Product Manager - Tech, Selling Partner Experience Science Team_

Do you want to join an innovative team of scientists and product managers who use machine learning to help Amazon provide the best experience to our Selling Partners by automatically understanding and addressing their challenges, needs and opportunities? Do you want to create solutions using advanced algorithmic systems that are powered by state-of-art Machine Learning, such as Natural Language Processing, Large Language Models, Computer Vision and Causal Modeling, to seamlessly engage with Sellers? Are you excited by the prospect of created data backed solutions, used by teams throughout Amazon Stores, to solve real world problems? If yes, then you may be a great fit to join the Selling Partner Experience Science team (SPeXSci).

Key job responsibilities

• Define business and product strategy working jointly with product owners and leveraging Science techniques such as AI, Optimization and Causal Modeling.

• Create and manage cross functional teams to deliver solutions that reduce effort and increase profitability of our Selling Partners.

• Oversee development of backend solutions that are scalable, reusable, and modular.

• Design and develop experiments to test hypothesis; define the appropriate metrics to measure results/ impact.

• Lead strategic initiatives to employ the most recent advances in ML in a fast-paced, experimental environment.

About the team

Selling Partner Experience Science (SPeXSci) is a growing team of scientists, engineers and product leaders engaged in the research and development of the next generation of ML-driven technology to empower Amazon's Selling Partners to succeed. We draw from many science domains, from Natural Language Processing to Computer Vision to Optimization to Economics, to create solutions that seamlessly and automatically engage with Sellers, solve their problems, and help them grow. Focused on collaboration, innovation and strategic impact, we work closely with other science and technology teams, product and operations organizations, and with senior leadership, to transform the Selling Partner experience.

Basic Qualifications

- 7+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience

- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative/technical field such as computer science, engineering, statistics

- Experience leading technical discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product

- Experience working directly with Engineers and Scientists on product enhancements

- Demonstrated ability to deliver with complete independence in situations where product strategy is not yet defined

Preferred Qualifications

- Strong relationships building skills; experience managing stakeholders and partners to drive cross functional programs

- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with different functional groups, developers, business owners, and senior business leaders

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $161,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $279,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
