The Hilton Richardson Dallas is looking for a Director of Finance to join the team!
The Director of Finance is responsible for providing day to day leadership/direction of the hotel accounting process to the department's employees. Prepare accurate and timely reports which summarize and forecast company business activity and financial position daily, weekly and monthly. Reporting includes labor, overtime, income, expenses, and earnings based on past, present, and expected operations.
Essential Requirements:
Ensure that all policies and procedures are followed in regards to revenue accounting and cash disbursements.
Actively participate in the maintenance of general ledger.
Recommend modifications to existing programs in the accounting process.
Prepare reports which summarize and forecast company business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses, and earnings based on past, present, and expected operations.
Administer preparation of budgets, reviews budget proposals, and prepares necessary supporting documentation and justification.
Perform or supervise timely reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts on a periodic basis.
Monitor incentive / bonus programs to ensure consistency.
Point person for all audits from ownership/asset management.
Establish, or recommend to management, economic strategies tactics, objectives, and policies for hotel.
Work with executive committee on annual and 90 day forecasting and budgeting.
Advise management about exposures to risk and liability for protection against property losses and potential liabilities.
Provide management and ownership timely reviews of organization's financial status, forecasts future cash requirements and expenditures based on financial predictions of future month operations.
Anticipate large cash outlays related to capital additions, loan repayments, owners distributions and tax liability.
Maintain relations with banks and other financial institutions.
Maintain fixed asset acquisitions in proper asset categories.
Monitor departmental spending in regards to the budget and ensures all costs are in order.
Make recommendations in regards to purchases and systems being up-to-date.
Involved with development, upgrades and performance of all information systems.
Prepare reports required by regulatory agencies.
Administer and ensure reporting and compliance with all general liability claims.
Ensure that all taxes are filled and balanced.
Oversee the analysis, maintenance, and communication of records required by law or local governing bodies, or other departments in the organization.
Consult with corporate financial personnel to ensure that accounting policies comply with federal and state law.
Direct maintenance of confidential records and forms.
Monitor hotel compliance with management contract requirements and reports.
Ensures all tax exempt procedures are followed in regards to groups and billing.
Excellent inter-personal skills.
Excellent computer skills.
Qualifications:
A four year college or university degree and 5 or more year's hotel finance experience and/or equivalent combination of education and management experience in hotel finance.
Knowledge of REIT Accounting a plus
