Global Senior Vice President Sales

Our end-to-end solutions and services enable researchers to make new genomics discoveries, precision therapeutics manufacturers to create higher fidelity therapies, health systems to provide superior diagnostics and standard of care, and precision agriculture to meet tomorrow's needs.

L7 Informatics is looking to hire a Global Senior Vice President (SVP) of Sales to lead us in expansion of the US and European markets. The SVP will be the key leader in building and growing L7’s customer base of leading biopharma, large pharma, and academic institutions.

Reporting to the President, this SVP of Sales will join a diverse and talented senior leadership team that highly in tune with where the industry is going, the needs of the business and ensuring L7 remains an innovative leader in our market. The right candidate, with enough skill and ambition, will have the capability to grow into a Chief Commercial Officer role in the future.

Note: this is a remote, work from home role. Candidate can live anywhere in the US, preferably in a metro area near an international airport due to the high travel requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Leadership:

Hire, develop and retain a world class team of sales professionals that are well versed in building and maintaining relationships with C-level executives within the biotech, big pharma and/or research & diagnostics sectors.

Oversee, plan, and direct the performance of global sales department, including training and performance evaluations.

Lead team to execute sales targets to meet sales growth objectives, expand the customer base; and build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships.

Maintain a high level of energy, positive attitude, while creating and managing a high performing team.

Strategy & Execution:

Develop and execute a clearly defined sales strategy in partnership with the President in a manner that supports consistent business growth and enhances L7’s brand awareness.

Develop strategic and operational sales plans based on company revenue goals to promote sales growth and customer satisfaction.

Analyze sales statistics to determine sales potential.

Create and roll out strategic action plans to penetrate new markets.

Drive strategic sales distribution by establishing sales territories, quotas, and goals.

Identify where improvements can be made and developing sales plans and strategies to achieve sales goals.

Maintain contact with all clients in the market area to ensure high levels of client satisfaction.

Provide timely, accurate, competitive pricing on all completed prospect applications submitted for pricing and approval, while striving to maintain maximum profit margin.

Monitor customer preferences to determine focus of sales efforts.

Evaluate potential of products, technologies, and resources.

Assist in the development and implementation of marketing plans as needed.

Financials:

Work closely with CFO and Director of FP&A to prepare budgets and approve budget expenditures.

Develop a business plan and sales strategy for the market that ensures attainment of divisional sales goals and profitability.

Review operational records and reports to project sales and determine profitability

REQUIREMENTS:

Experience & Skills:

Minimum of 15 years of pharma sales experience selling enterprise software to pharma and/or biopharma markets.

Most recent 5+ years must be working in a relevant, senior leadership role.

A broad set of leadership competencies that include strong communication and change management skills, ability to drive business insights, ability to collaborate cross functionally, and effective planning and execution skills.

Proven experience in developing Alliances and Partnerships

Previous track record of success in creating and executing successful GTM strategies.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Demonstrated success prospecting and selling a sophisticated, innovative product to traditional mindsets.

History of successfully navigating organizations, ranging from upstarts to $1B+ revenue organizations, to build cross-functional coalitions (including C-level sponsorship).

Skilled at influencing multiple prospect stakeholders through an extended enterprise sales cycle to close 6-figure and/or 7-figure deals.

Exposure to high rate of change and growth environments (startup experience is preferable).

Comfortably promote an innovative vision that requires customers to think differently about how they achieve their goals.

Naturally resilient in character.

Able to manage frequent global travel as necessary.
