This position is part of the IT department and belongs to the Endpoint Engineering team. As a Mac Desktop Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in promoting the best possible employee experience and the highest levels of productivity. Key Responsibilities
Design and engineer macOS systems adhering to company standards for optimal performance and stability
Develop, engineer, and evolve macOS computer policies, configurations, and workflows
Diagnose advanced issues arising during the integration of macOS with third-party hardware and software, conducting root cause analyses
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver macOS solutions that are not only reliable and secure but can also operate seamlessly at scale
Continuously analyze current processes and procedures, providing recommendations for maintenance or improvements to enhance efficiency
Create comprehensive documentation, including standard operating procedures, configuration guides, and knowledge base articles, ensuring clarity for both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Stay current with industry trends and advancements in macOS technologies to recommend and implement improvements
Requirements
Required Skills
A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience supporting macOS within a large enterprise environment
Proficiency in administering Jamf Pro for comprehensive computer management
Outstanding product and industry knowledge of macOS, demonstrating a deep understanding of its functionalities and best practices
Proficiency in Bash or Python scripting for efficient automation and system customization
Familiarity with software development environments and tools commonly used by software developers on macOS
Ability to research and drive complex technical solutions comprising multiple technologies
Excellent communication skills, with the capability to articulate technical information effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Must be residing locally and able to work onsite a minimum of 3 days a week, ensuring seamless collaboration with the team
Preferred Skills
Hands-on experience with ServiceNOW, demonstrating proficiency in utilizing this platform for efficient IT service management
Certifications in macOS administration or Jamf 300+, highlighting a commitment to professional development and mastery of relevant technologies
Experience with Google Admin MDM, showcasing proficiency in managing and optimizing mobile devices within a Google ecosystem
Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools, showcasing an understanding of collaborative and automated software development processes
