The executive director plans, leads, and directs day-to-day practice operations and is ultimately responsible for successfully managing and operating the entire practice. This leader ensures that all providers have the resources required to meet patient needs and meet the financial objectives of the practice.
Originally formed 40 years ago, Center for Plastic Surgery has long been considered a top 5 plastic surgery practice in the DMV region with surgeons perennially selected to the Washingtonian Top Doctors list in addition to several other notable top doctor lists. The practice offers a comprehensive range of both surgical and non-surgical services (skin care, Botox, injectables, lasers, CoolSculpting, peptide therapy, etc.) and runs its own accredited operating suite with a separate OR manager.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree with relevant experience or master’s degree in health care administration, business administration, or health administration.
Minimum 7 years of relevant experience including at least 5 years of experience in the administration/operation of a health care organization.
Strong financial experience required to provide the reporting necessary to make data-driven decisions.
Knowledge of government and reimbursement regulations and requirements.
Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, managed care, and other third-party payor’s guidelines.

Developing, applying, interpreting, and coordinating departmental policies and procedures and quality control standards.
Excellent verbal and written communication.
Skilled in financial reporting.
Able to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making, and problem-solving expertise.
Ability to research and prepare reports or other correspondence as required.
Technologically savvy; competent with software such as Microsoft Office, Quickbooks, EMR, and practice management software.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Establishes/implements goals, objectives, policies, procedures, and systems for all operational areas of the practice.
Develops/implements long-range plans.
Manages the daily operations while developing, monitoring, and analyzing budget and financial information cost effectively.
Oversees HR and ensures effective administration/implementation of compensation, benefits, job descriptions, personnel policies, and payroll practices.
Participates in the selection, training, and onboarding of all clinic staff.
Participates in staff supervision, performance evaluation, merit increases, and disciplinary actions.
Resolves administrative and operational problems including the maintenance of clinic property, computer systems, and installed software applications.
Ensures compliance with regulations and standards.
Gathers and reports data for fiscal and statistical analysis.
Coordinates with medical staff to ensure quality patient care and services are provided.
Serves as a liaison between clinic and external agencies (digital marketing agency, external marketing consultant, retirement planning specialists, accountant, etc.).
Maintains the strictest confidentiality.
