Business Solution Strategy Analyst

As part of Commercial Analytics and Reporting team, this position enables ongoing process improvement, delivery, and implementation of Commercial initiatives (e.g. Sales and Broker Commissions, Migration) under limited general direction. The role will drive action through planning, data analysis and strategy, technical solution, and business process review. Through a close collaboration with the Sales Leadership team and various business partners, the candidate will be required to work with abstract concepts in constantly changing environments and be able to pivot effectively between projects.
Key Responsibilities/Duties - What You Will Be Doing
Analytics and Reporting
Independently document processes, create templates, prototypes to address complex Commercial business flows / needs
Extrapolate data from various channels to unlock insights for story telling
In-depth data modeling and actionable analytics to achieve measurable business outcomes
Identify KPIs and performance metrics to evaluate the impact and effectiveness of proposed business solutions.
Continuously improve and refine data strategies on data sourcing and transformation
Evaluate the financial viability of proposed business solutions, including cost-benefit assessments and budget management and monitor post-implementation
Conduct comprehensive research of software solutions to identify opportunities and areas to drive business growth and efficiencies related to the assigned project
Business Solution Strategy Development
Act as liaison between the business and technical teams to translate requirements and business needs
Make a recommendation for a business solution, based on analysis conducted
Create roadmaps to ensure business solutions are integrated into overall business strategy and operational workflows
Participate in project management activities, including mitigation of risks and obstacles to assure the project delivers the expected value
Develop user adoption strategies and training to increase data literacy and business solution engagement
Education
Qualifications - what you need to perform the job
Bachelor's degree is required, MBA preferred
Experience
This role requires 3+ years of progressive experience, preferably in the health care / insurance industries.
Strong data analytic skills, strategic mindset, project management experience, and data modeling preferred.
Skill Requirements
Outstanding analytic and data story telling skills with the ability to synthesize and organize large data for meaningful use and action
Intermediate EXCEL and SQL skills
Ability to utilize Alteryx or SAS Enterprise Guide for data sourcing and transformation
Ability to work independently, take initiative and demonstrate good judgment
Attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality deliverables
Strong organizational skills and flexibility
Strong relationship building and interpersonal skills
Business acumen and strategic thinking
Knowledge of health insurance industry operations, systems and products
Technical aptitude and ability to work with IT systems;
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, familiarity with CRM systems
Appropriately handle confidential data and adhere to the corporate compliance policy
