Operations Manager

Operations Manager serves on a company’s leadership team to oversee the performance, efficiencies and satisfaction of employees. They analyze the company’s organizational process and find ways to enhance employees’ work quality and productivity. The Operations Manager builds operational policies and strategies that keep the organization functioning smoothly.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
● Work with business units in identifying products for local productions.
● Develop, implement, and maintain processes, procedures, and programs to improve the
quality, safety, productivity, and profitability of the operation.
● Establish and implement short- and long-range organizational goals, objectives, strategic
plans, policies, and operating procedures.
● Monitor and evaluate programmatic and operational effectiveness, and effect changes
required for improvement.
● Identify, document, and implement opportunities for continuous improvement.
● Ensure that warehouse operations comply with federal, state, local, and/or company
policies and regulations.
● Assessing and analyzing departmental budgets to find ways to optimize profitability
● Inspiring and motivating employees through positive encouragement and incentive
initiatives.
● Manage and review the material availability in a healthy and reasonable inventory level.
● Manage overall activities of teams (production, logistic, purchasing, quality and customer
service), identifying problem areas and taking corrective actions.
● Collaborate with executive-level management in the development of performance goals
and long-term operational plans
● Plan, monitor, and analyze key metrics for the day-to-day performance of the operations
to ensure efficient and timely completion of tasks
Qualifications:
● M.S./B.S. in electrical or mechanical engineering related fields is preferred.
● 10+ years senior leadership role in manufacturing operations or related field
● Proven ability to plan and manage operational process for maximum efficiency and
productivity
● Experience working in an ISO environment
● Results driven and ability to communicate
● Ability to identify weak spots in a process to improve efficiency and streamline and
support shifting business demands.
● Proven track record of managing, motivating and developing teams
● Excellent planning and project management skills
● Strong working knowledge of industry regulations and legislative guidelines
