Position Summary
The Olympic Program Senior Manager is responsible for overseeing the operations of the Olympic High Performance (HP) program including athlete support, national and international High Performance events, reporting, and triaging issues and priorities while maximizing collaboration amongst the Elite Triathlon and Development programs. The Olympic Program Senior Manager will work closely with the HP General Manager, the Paralympic Sr. Manager, and all HP staff to ensure our combined efforts, investments, communications, and strategies are in alignment with overall Olympic, Paralympic, and HP Development program priorities.

Pay Range: $60,000 - 80,000 annually
Reports To: High-Performance General Manager
Essential Job Functions
Oversee all Olympic HP operations, deadlines, and priorities, while maximizing collaboration and coordination among the entire HP staff
Serve as a primary author of the USA Triathlon Olympic High-Performance Plan
Serve as Team Lead or Team Support role for competition trips for Elite Triathlon as needed, including, but not limited to, key World Cup, World Triathlon Championship Series, Test events, and Games. Attend domestic events that are considered strategically valuable to High Performance as a representative of USA Triathlon HP, including serving as a Competition Jury member when requested
Serve as the primary point of contact for athletes on the Olympic National Team for all program support
Responsible for drafting and management of all Olympic program selection criteria - World Triathlon event selection, funded programs, Major Games qualification, athlete selection, etc.
Ensures accurate and efficient processing of OPTC and USPC program requests, distribution of Direct Athlete Support and Elite Athlete Health Insurance (EAHI), Operation Gold payments from the USOPC to eligible USA Triathlon athletes, coordination of PPA expense reports, and general USOPC audit reporting, surveys, and data submission, and distribution of the Elite Beat newsletter
Oversee the Elite Athlete Selection process, and the International Competition Panel (ICP), and ensure compliance with USA Triathlon HP procedures and best practices. Oversee and manage the overall HP Olympic program selection procedures and agreements process, within necessary timelines, and deadlines, while ensuring engagement with the Athlete Advisory Council (AAC) and legal counsel
Collaborating with the Paralympic senior manager, ensure the Olympic and Paralympic programs are in close alignment, coordinating and collaborating on efforts, projects, and trips to maximize efficiencies and investments
Serve as the primary leader in coordinating, advising, and approving, travel and transport with the HP staff for Olympic World Triathlon competition trips
Oversee the HP budget submission process for the Olympic programs, coordinating amongst HP staff, working through to final approval, and serving as the main support for HP staff on the Olympic side of HP
Co-leader with the Paralympic Sr. Manager of USA Triathlon HP whole team staff meetings and bi-weekly (minimum) updates process, as needed
Liaise with the Athlete Advisory Council (AAC) in collaboration with the HPGM, USA Triathlon Events Department, race directors, Coaching Education staff, athletes, and USADA
Participate as a leader within the High-Performance Department and overall organization
Seeks opportunities to evolve and innovate all USA Triathlon's HP strategies, programs, and advancement of the USA Triathlon HP brand

Computer skills (Microsoft Office, Excel, social media platforms)
Remote collaboration and independent self-motivated worker
Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and work under tight deadlines
Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Sports Management or related field; Master's degree preferred
Five to seven years experience in Olympic, Paralympic, and/or other High Performance sport
Experience in high-performance planning and budgeting preferred
Other No active primary coaching of USA Triathlon elite or development athletes
Travel and work weekends/holidays as dictated by event schedules
