The Opportunity

We're seeking a results-oriented and mission-driven leader with program, performance and team management experience to help lead the expansion of our work in southern Colorado. Reporting directly to the Colorado Springs Site Director, this position will be responsible for supporting the initial scoping and relationship building needed for the launch of the Pueblo site.

Once the satellite site is launched, the Program Manager will be responsible for the daily oversight of CEO's Vocational Services and Economic Opportunity, assisting the Program Director to achieve program milestones, supporting staff training, participant recruitment, data collection, and participant management and tracking.

Who We Are

The Center for Employment Opportunities (CEO) provides employment services to people recently released from incarceration. Across the United States, 8,000-9,000 people participate in CEO each year, transitioning to employment that supports themselves, their families, and their communities.

What began as a demonstration project of the Vera Institute of Justice in the 1970s to address employment barriers facing the formerly incarcerated following release in New York City has grown into the leading reentry employment organization in the country, where over 30,000 formerly incarcerated individuals have secured full-time employment since 1996.

What You'll Be Responsible For:

Community Launch

Supporting regional leadership with the launch of the Pueblo operations including building out the work plan, informing the staffing plan, developing relationships with other local community agencies including potential referral partners, and coordinating administrative functions, implement and oversee processes and procedures to support a successful launch.

Performance Management Supporting the Site/Regional Director with daily agency operations; managing the overall daily agency operation of the local county in the absence of the Site/Regional Director

Effectively manage the main program, giving detailed attention to program strategy, project delegation, and program implementation.

Monitoring and supervising team progress and effectiveness, ensuring compliance with all organizational policies and procedures

Ensuring the team is engaged in ongoing learning on specific areas of program delivery; support staff in obtaining the necessary resources and training needed to successfully carry out CEO's vision and mission

Collaborating with Site Supervisors and other team members to maintain cohesion and communication between teams through a DEI lens.

Assisting the Site Director in evaluating the performance of all program services and recommending areas to improve on an ongoing basis

Culture Management Foster a non-punitive, inclusive and supportive environment for both staff and participants.

Use strong emotional intelligence skills, including empathy and self-awareness, to resolve challenges that may arise.

Effectively reinforce an environment where employees are valued and supported

Successfully cultivate healthy relationships between team members.

Direct Support Program Manager will carry a small caseload of participants, fluctuating over time with the need of the office

Guide and coach participants in key preparatory activities tied to employment, including writing professional resumes, networking, and mock interviewing

Administrative Support Maintaining accurate client records in Salesforce; updating progress notes in Salesforce during and after each meeting with participants

Managing the recording and tracking of data required by program management, grant contractors, and foundations by monitoring enrollment, case files, placement, and retention metrics

Who You Are You are deeply dedicated to social justice and experienced in the re-entry field

You come to CEO with 3+ years of program implementation experience (program management experience preferred) in a fast-growing and results-oriented nonprofit environment

You have working knowledge of local county and its criminal justice and workforce development systems and programs

You are experienced in meeting performance based goals

You are a people-person and love to motivate and inspire others to achieve their goals, helping individuals identify, capitalize upon, and apply their strengths

You pay attention to detail and have the ability to juggle multiple projects at one time

You have experience collecting, analyzing, and applying data to drive program strategy and decision making

You pride yourself in your ability to communicate effectively and recognize the value of continuous communication

You're comfortable with technology, including Google Suite and Salesforce

You display personal integrity and are personally and professionally committed to CEO's mission and strive to make a deep impact on our participants' lives

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $57,600 to $64,000 annually. In an effort to be both equitable and transparent, CEO's compensation philosophy considers a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, experience, internal equity, and home office location in making a final determination on our salary offer.

We recognize that salary is a part of the overall compensation package and also provide a comprehensive benefits package, including medical and dental coverage, as well as professional development opportunities to our staff.
