Roles and Responsibilities
In this challenging role, the candidate will be responsible for the project management function for multiple electrical systems/controls projects in the Aerospace domain. In this job, the candidate must be able to coordinate projects, project stakeholders, make detailed plans to accomplish goals and project milestones. In this role candidate must be able to provide facilitation for project teams, leading control meetings and chartering/planning sessions for multiple projects. Candidate needs to demonstrate process discipline and best-in-class program management practices to:
Maintain and improve processes for delivering high-quality customer deliverables
Maintain program level issues/action logs, risk registers, scope change requests/logs, program work plans, and program cost tracking.
Maintain accurate project schedules and create report packages and communicate project status to team members and stakeholders.
Make recommendations to the project team to resolve schedule and project cost issues
Job Description Establish and communicate clear project priorities and activities
Ensure the project delivers to the approved budget and agreed margin and that both are regularly reviewed
Execute project management activities to control scope, cost, schedule, and quality
Review and identify the critical path and lead project dependencies
Perform project quality management, ensure that the solution meets requirements, and lead compliance to standards, rules, and regulations
Effectively communicate project progress with the customer and other internal stakeholders
Set up all required processes in alignment with internal quality/ customer expectations to establish appropriate communication on all levels for a project
Proactively supervise the projects' overall progress, resolving issues and initiating corrective and preventive action as appropriate
Perform project risk management including; planning, identification, analysis, response planning, and controlling
Primary Skills Strong and proven project management skills
Proven leadership abilities to manage multiple complex projects as a program manager
Strong organization and time management skills
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
Successful track record in managing Aerospace and defense electrical and embedded software projects
Secondary Skills Exposure to technical knowledge related to areas of electrical engineering
Knowledge in standards such as DO-178B/C, DO-254, and DO-160
Education Bachelor's Degree required with 10+ years of experience
Master's Degree with 8+ years of experience
PMP Certification preferred
