IT Support Specialist
Position Summary
The Information Technology (IT) Support Specialist position is an integral component of Access’ dedication to stewardship in its mission of improving the health and lives of its patients. The IT Support Specialist handles and resolves daily IT issues and concerns of end users in efficient and timely manner. This work is done through a partnership with UW Health Information Systems, who provides IT services to Access.
The primary areas of responsibility include providing daily assistance to end users, listening to their needs, and determining what type of actionable direction is needed, as well as researching telecommunication and IT problems and developing solutions, and providing technical and troubleshooting assistance. Other areas of responsibility include tracking service tickets, ordering supplies, managing inventory, and supporting dental software. This role will assist and work closely with UW Health Information Systems to ensure daily workflow and priorities are met.
Desired candidate would have the following qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
Associate or bachelor's degree in information technology or computer networking
A minimum of five (5) years of experience in technical support, application support, and/or help desk support
Knowledgeable about standard concepts, practices, and procedures, within an Information Technology department
Proficiency with MS Office, including Excel and Word, as well as electronic mail and internet applications
Ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical end-users
Desired Qualifications: Professional certification(s) in information technology and/or telecommunications fields
Experience with ServiceNow Ticketing System
Experience in purchasing and with vendor relationships
Experience in a health care related setting
Familiarity with Voice Over Internet Protocol (VoIP) telephone systems or telecommunications work experience
Experience with health care and/or dental software products
