Genesis10 is seeking a Project Manager Consultant for a 6-12+ month contract position with a financial services client located in New York, NY. This is a hybrid position and requires being onsite 2 days per week.
Summary:
The Family Office Partners provides wealth planning and strategic advice to our clients. This role is responsible for the direction, coordination, and implementation of technology projects, while remaining aligned with the strategy, commitments, and goals of the organization. Monitors the team to make sure goals and objectives are being kept. Knowledge of larger landscape without neglecting granular details while tracking project health, staying alert for risk and resolving issues as they arise.
Key Responsibilities:
Gather business requirements, build consensus on optimal solutions, and work actively with the end users and developers throughout the SDLC process.
Present to stakeholders reports on progress as well as problems and solutions.
Create schedule and project timeline, and track deliverables.
Understand upstream and downstream processes and minimize disruptions resulting from development projects.
Continuously develop process improvements to reduce error rates and increase automation.
Take ownership of immediate remediation and long-term solutions when anomalies are identified.
Be part of an empowered team following agile methodologies.
Key Skills:
10+ years of experience in creating and managing complex, cross-team project plans; prior success in driving execution of large-scale project plans with teams in multiple time zones.
Proficiency with related software tools including but not limited to JIRA, Confluence, MS Excel, etc.
Analytical and strong organizational skills, with excellent verbal and written ability.
Demonstrated sense of logic, creativity, decision-making, and problem resolution.
Technological acuteness, as demonstrated by understanding of database concepts and quick progress in learning new applications/software.
Desired Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. PMP Preferred
Well-organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Financial services industry experience highly desired.
