JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Senior Project Manager/Healthcare is responsible and accountable for ensuring that all assigned operations are performed according to applicable standards and specifications, and to good construction practices. This is a hands-on role with the opportunity to bring innovation, collaboration, and technological advancement to assist our clients in delivering complex projects.
PROJECT LOCATION: Bronx, NY
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work alongside executive managers to deliver a capital portfolio.
Assist in guiding the project team to manage all phases of the project life cycle including but not limited to budgeting, planning, logistics etc.
Assist the Senior Program and Construction Manager in their duties.
Participate in the submittal, RFI, RFC, construction submittal reviews, claim reviews, and draft responses for review by the Senior Program and Construction Manager.
Monitor and report on construction progress.
Participate in meetings.
Coordinate the work of field inspectors.
Assist the Senior Program and Construction Manager in managing project staff and performing field inspection and documentation of the Contractor's activities.
Perform field measurements for quantity calculations and reporting for pay estimates.
Communicate effectively with the project team, including Clients, Contractors, and Project Stakeholders.
Works on projects of substantial complexity.
May assume lead responsibilities for a team of engineers and professional support personnel.
Provide quality inspection to ensure that the job is being built in accordance with approved plans.
Assist in constructability reviews.
Assist in monitoring project budget.
Assist in contractors monthly evaluations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to become thoroughly familiar with contract requirements, site conditions, and special provisions including all relevant standards, requirements, and stipulations.
Understanding of the agencys policies, procedures, and Infrastructures Standard Construction Operating Procedures (SCOPs).
Extremely organized and detailed oriented, with the ability to maintain accuracy while handling multiple requests in a growing company environment.
Demonstrated experience in managing program/project teams on large complex healthcare
projects.
Ability to establish and maintain satisfactory working relationships with associates, contractors, and the public.
Active Hospital/Healthcare facility experience required.
NYC HHC experience is a plus.
Knowledge and experience in MEP / HVAC.
Excellent English language skills, written and verbal.
Proficiency in Submittal Exchange, and other project management software.
Full working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Bachelors degree (B. S., or B.A.) in Engineering or Construction Management and a minimum of fifteen (15) years of relevant experience (clinical renovations, owner representative/project management experience, specifically in hospital, healthcare systems, high-rise construction, etc).
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
OSHA 30-Hour Certificate.
Professional Engineer (PE), Registered Architect (RA) and/or Certified Construction Manage (CCM) preferred.
