Affordable Housing Industry Associate

SUMMARY: Quadel is the premier provider of technical assistance, management, training, and consulting services to the affordable housing industry. Our client base includes Public Housing Authorities (PHAs), federal agencies, state, and local governments, as well as private sector providers. Clients rely upon Quadel's team of experienced professionals to provide information, services, and products that comply with regulatory requirements and represent state-of-the-art industry best practices.

Associates at Quadel work closely with our experienced consultants in fast-paced, dynamic environments. They frequently manage multiple projects simultaneously, contributing to various aspects of client engagements. This role often requires travel to client sites for meetings, presentations, data collection, or fieldwork, reflecting the hands-on approach we take in serving our clients.

Flexibility is essential, as the nature of the work may require extended hours, especially when project deadlines approach or when client meetings occur across different time zones. This entry-level role offers a unique opportunity to gain valuable industry experience, develop essential skills, and make a significant impact on client organizations by performing some or all of the activities described below.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assessments and Compliance Reviews . Evaluate policies, procedures, business processes, and organizational structure, documenting current conditions and developing recommendations.

Data Analysis . Collect, interpret, and analyze qualitative and quantitative data to extract actionable insights that inform strategic decision-making processes.

Report Preparation and Presentation . Prepare detailed reports outlining findings and recommendations, and present findings to clients clearly and concisely.

Client Relationship Management . Communicate with clients to understand their needs, gather relevant information, and provide regular updates on project progress.

Project Support and Execution . Assist in the implementation of new policies and methods of operation through the development of written products, technology solutions, and staff training and/or directly performing work activities on the client’s behalf.

Develop Proposals and Applications . Assist with proposal responses and formal bid applications and participate in Quadel’s marketing efforts.

Research/Knowledge Management . Responsible for staying current on legislative, regulatory, and industry developments for assigned areas and serving as a subject matter resource for other Quadel staff and clients in those assigned areas. Assist in the development and updating of Quadel’s model policies, protocols, systems, and tools to ensure compliance. This could include tech integration and coordination with IT teams.

Coordination/Management . Help plan, organize, and supervise projects to make sure they finish on time and stay within budget. Work with the team, lead tasks, and keep track of project progress, budgets, and deadlines. Keep an eye on potential risks.

Collaboration and Oversight . Bring creativity and energy to work groups to achieve goals and meet deadlines. Work closely with team members to maintain a consistent and effective approach to client projects, enhancing the quality of solutions proposed.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s Degree required.

At least three (3) years’ work experience preferably in affordable housing or another field that demonstrates operational and/or consulting experience in a regulatory environment.

Demonstrated experience in producing high-quality written work products.

Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Excellent written, interpersonal, and oral communication skills, including the ability to adjust communications and products for different purposes and audiences.

Interest in and ability to master regulatory requirements, industry practices, technology solutions, and client relationships in assigned business areas.

Ability to collect and analyze data and arrive at reasonable and substantiated conclusions.

Ability to work both independently and as an integral part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to multitask while maintaining high-quality results.

Ability to work on multiple projects with multiple managers and to work hours as needed to meet deadlines.

Interest and ability to travel for both short-term (days) and extended (weeks) periods.
