Description: The FactorEarth team (https://factorearth.com/) at Metcalf Archaeological Consultants, Inc. has an open UI/UX Designer position, starting immediately. Responsibilities for this position include:
Conduct user research to gather insights into user needs and behaviors.
Create user personas, journey maps, and wireframes to guide the design process.
Design UI elements such as menus, tabs, widgets, and more, focusing on maximizing usability and improving the overall user experience.
Prototype and iterate on designs based on user feedback and developer input.
Collaborate with developers to ensure accurate implementation of designs and conduct post-launch usability testing to inform future iterations.
Stay in touch with modern design standards, techniques and ideas.

Requirements: The basic qualifications for this position are:
Proven experience as a UX Designer, UI Designer, or similar role with a strong portfolio of design projects.
Proficiency in design software (e.g., Figma).
Understanding of HTML, CSS, and some JavaScript for rapid prototyping.
Excellent visual design skills with sensitivity to user-system interaction.
Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively.
Up-to-date with the latest UI trends, techniques, and technologies.
Excellent communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders.
Preferred candidates will also have the following qualifications:
Experience using component libraries (e.g. Storybook).
Experience conducting post-launch usability testing to inform future iterations.
