The Central User Experience team at Trimble is seeking a UI/UX designer with great visual design skill, a collaborative mentality, and a strong passion for user-focused design and user-experience to lead UI and UX for our Supply Chain platform.
What You Will Do
You will be leading the user experience design, strategy, and user research for a web-based pricing platform in the construction industry. Our customers are contractors, manufacturers and distributors.
This will include new product design and research and design work on existing applications. In this role you will be acting as a UI/UX lead, with day-to-day hands-on involvement in all aspects of design. You will be a key player in a dynamic team of product managers, developers, and other stakeholders. This is an opportunity to define the core of our customer experience strategy and apply your leadership skills.
Use Figma, Miro, Jira and GSuite to deliver design specifications. Create wireframes & interactive prototypes to test concepts
Design the overall patterns, styles, and functionality of the product portfolio and iterate upon it to ensure a great user experience.
Conduct user research, interviews, and surveys, translating them into experience maps, story maps, workflows, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes optimized for native and web
Advocate for UX influencing strategy and ensuring best practices with regards to UX decisions product vision, new capabilities and enhancements.
Facilitate and collaborate with other team members and stakeholders contributing to brainstorming discussions and co-creation sessions
What Skills & Experience You Should Bring
At least 5 years of experience in the User Experience Design field
Experience in Enterprise B2B
Solid experience with design tools like : Sketch, Figma, XD, Miro
Experience from workflow diagrams, wireframes and high fidelity mockups using a agile process
Skilled with conducting research, and leveraging data to inform design strategy & direction
Solid background in human-centered design, and expertise with the user experience design process tools and best practices
A passion and deep experience in designing for professional users, an understanding of workflow analysis and customer journey analysis
An innovative & strategic thinker who is skilled in interaction design, prototyping and comfortable working with new technologies
An undergraduate or masters degree in user interface design, user experience design, human-computer interaction, interaction design or a certification.
Be passionate about all things UI and UX and related areas of design and innovation. Keeping abreast of the industry’s latest trends and technologies seeking personal continuous improvement.
Bring a positive attitude and energy to all engagements leading by example both in verbal and non-verbal communication.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to clearly and effectively communicate design processes, ideas, and solutions to teams and clients.
Excellent collaboration skills and desire to keep learning new things. Being willing to help teammates, share knowledge and experience with them, and learn from them.
Be open to receiving feedback and constructive criticism.
Be excited about collaborating and communicating closely with teams and other stakeholders to regularly deliver design solutions for approval.
