**Essential Functions**
+ Collaborates with other FedEx field operations to efficiently and effectively plan both contractor and equipment needs to ensure sufficient coverage for trailer movements.
+ Coordinates and tracks the processing and movement of FedEx trailers, rental equipment, new trailers, and dollies in the FedEx network.
+ Manages locally domiciled Unassigned Team logistics throughout the LH network to maximize the use of resources as well as minimize the tractor dwell.
+ In accordance with the Linehaul plan, directs the dispatch of transportation equipment.
+ Ensures Linehaul dispatch and arrival rules are followed according to defined Company procedures.
+ Coordinates cargo shipments to maximize the trailer volume while meeting package delivery obligations.
+ Enters trip details into an online system (TMS) to ensure on time delivery and pick up of trailers.
+ Verifies the location of equipment in the dispatch system by completing yard inventories.
+ Verifies the load/unload status of trailers by completing yard checks. Timely reports missing equipment.
+ Follows and communicates safety initiatives to ensure a safety-conscious culture.
+ Investigates and reports schedule delays, accidents and equipment failures and implements contingency plans which ensure on-time load delivery in the event of an en-route breakdown or accident .
+ Reviews and communicates Department of Transportation (DOT) roadside violations to management.
+ Coordinates with the Safety and Maintenance departments to monitor the monthly tractor safety inspections and ensure annual certificates are obtained in compliance with the DOT.
+ Reviews trailer load condition reports (TLCR’s ) to ensure proper completion.
+ Performs other duties as assigned.
**Minimum Education**
+ High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Business or related area, preferred
**Minimum Experience**
+ Dispatch experience preferred

+ Time management, organizational and multi-tasking skills necessary to work in a fast-paced team environment, handling various tasks and changing priorities, while maintaining a high attention to detail and accuracy to achieve daily assignments and goals

+ Knowledge of concepts, practices, procedures and transportation regulations used in Linehaul field operations, including DOT regulations
