About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President for Financial Services and Operations (VPFSO) to serve as the institution's chief fiscal and administrative officer. The successful candidate will be a mission-oriented leader, dedicated to continuous improvement and institution-wide collaboration. Responsibilities for the VPFSO include overseeing all aspects of financial and operational management, such as budget and finance, physical plant operations, infrastructure, capital improvements, and campus safety. The role demands a strategic thinker with a proven track record in organizational change, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with senior management, the Board of Trustees, and all staff. The VPFSO will also be responsible for developing and implementing financial and operational policies, maintaining financial stability, and ensuring that all services and systems support the institution's mission of student success.Applicants for the VPFSO position at the company must have a master's degree in a related discipline and at least 5 years of experience in a leadership role, preferably in higher education. The role requires a candidate with a strong background in financial management, resource management, and mission advocacy. The ideal candidate will have a diverse set of skills, including the ability to operate as both a tactical and strategic thinker, and will be proficient in organizing complex activities and building successful professional relationships. Essential qualifications include a proven track record of success in facilitating organizational change, superior management skills, and a passion for the mission of the institution.
