Senior Financial Analyst, Financial Reporting
This Corporate Accounting and Finance position, reporting to the AVP, Consolidations & Project Lead, will be a key member of the consolidations team focusing on global intercompany and lease accounting. This candidate will interact with a diverse group of internal personnel including other financial analysts, divisional leadership, and functional staff to interpret financial data and operational performance.
Essential Functions:
Perform various tasks within the Finance unit, including data analysis, reconciliations, journal entry preparation, process documentation, and special projects
Serves a key role in preparing the global intercompany detail review for the US companies
Monitor intercompany accounts, investigate any variances, and ensure proper resolution and adjustment while adhering to company policies and procedures.
Responsible for various monthly and quarterly ledger analytic processes and adjustments
Assist in the computation of global real estate right-of-use asset and lease liability balances to support required US GAAP and IFRS disclosures
Responsible for preparation of certain reporting package schedules for US and China-based companies to support Chubb's quarterly and annual financial statement filings
As a member of Corporate Accounting & Finance, the position is also part of the resource pool which will be relied upon to address peak needs across the group
Assist in the preparation of audited stand-alone company financial statements according to US GAAP
Prepare quarterly and annual financial information surveys required to be filed with the U.S. Department of Commerce and other government agencies.
Qualifications
Skills/Qualifications:
3+ years of accounting experience with knowledge of US GAAP
Bachelor or higher degree in accounting or finance
Experience/familiarity with GAAP insurance accounting concepts preferred
Strong Excel Skills and experience working with large data sets, TM1 and PeopleSoft
Strong time management, organizational, and planning skills
Ability to multi-task and prioritize deadlines
Strong attention to detail and committed to quality and accuracy
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Experienced information gathering from various reporting systems
