About the Role
The Managing Director, Business Incentives Group, is a senior leadership role with a primary focus on providing written tax advice to clients, evaluating tax strategies, and recommending actions to minimize tax burdens and compliance costs. This position requires a deep understanding of tax policy and regulations, as well as the ability to recognize and manage potential tax risks. The Managing Director is also responsible for marketing, networking, and business development within their area of expertise, and for maintaining and expanding key client relationships. Additionally, the role involves supervising a team of tax professionals, including managers, senior associates, and associates, and ensuring their training on relevant tax issues and software.Candidates for the Managing Director position should have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, with a Master's degree in Taxation or a Juris Doctorate (J.D.) preferred. A minimum of ten years of experience in Research & Development tax consulting is required, along with a proven track record of supervising tax professionals. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word, and experience with tax-related software and research databases are essential. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, superior analytical and research abilities, and a strong organizational skill set. The role demands the capability to manage a team effectively, meet project deadlines, and handle multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment.
