Opportunity: Managing Director - The Rittenhouse Hotel
The Rittenhouse Hotel, Philadelphias premier luxury hotel and the city's exclusive member of The Leading Hotels of the World, is seeking a dynamic and visionary Managing Director. This is the preeminent luxury hotel leadership role in Philadelphia and one of the most prestigious in the world. The Managing Director leads a dynamic and highly skilled team to deliver luxury guest experiences; creating a culture of excellence, engagement, collaboration, and community, all while driving strong financial results.

Your Focuses
Leadership
Lead, inspire, and mentor a diverse team of department heads, cultivating a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
Set clear expectations and provide the guidance necessary to achieve exceptional performance.
Guest Experience
Ensure the highest level of guest satisfaction by overseeing the implementation of service standards, personalized experiences, and swift resolution of any issues.
Continuously seek opportunities to enhance guest interactions and exceed expectations.
Manage the daily and ongoing oversight of food and beverage, and hotel services catering to VIPs, and high-net-worth guests.
Deploy activations and programming throughout the hotel and with our partners that deliver unique experiences to our guests.
Financial Performance
Develop and execute strategies to maximize revenue, optimize expenses, and achieve budgetary goals.
Create a culture within the team that focuses on driving top and bottom line growth.
Monitor financial performance through regular analysis and implement corrective actions as needed.
Operational Excellence
Maintain a seamless and efficient operation by overseeing all aspects of hotel management, including front office, housekeeping, food and beverage, maintenance, and luxury spa..
Implement best practices to uphold quality and safety standards.
Follow sustainability guidelines and practices related to the HHM Hotels EarthView program.
Provide service excellence to a level at which the hotel achieves the Forbes Travel Guide Five Star Service Rating. Supervise a range of luxury consortia groups, handle partnerships with luxury brands, and cultivate a sales environment with a luxury focus.
As needed, guide a team through comprehensive renovations, updates, and modernizations, leveraging expertise in top-tier interior design, design/construction, and contractor firms
Works closely with the Rittenhouse Condominium Owners Association.
Community Engagement
Establish strong relationships within the community, participate in Chamber of Commerce and local associations, positioning the hotel as an integral part of the Rittenhouse Row and Greater Philadelphia communities.
Act as a brand ambassador and maintain a positive public image.
Strategic Planning
Collaborate with executive leadership to develop and execute long-term strategies that align with company objectives and drive sustainable growth.
Identify areas of the hotel that if transitioned or repurposed, will generate a return on investment.
Employee Development
Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development, empowering team members to excel in their roles and advance within the organization.
Your Background and Skills
Bachelors Degree in Business, Hospitality or a related field is preferred.
5+ years of experience as a General Manager/Managing Director or similar leadership role in a luxury, full service hotel.
Experience leading a luxury hotel that includes multiple food and beverage outlets, with proven success supervising multiple operational departments and their respective PLs in rooms, food and beverage, and luxury spa.
Strong financial acumen and the ability to analyze data, develop budgets, and manage financial performance.
