Hermann Transportation is looking for a full-time Freight Broker to join our company located in Houston, TX . Hermann offers a competitive salary, medical, dental, and vision coverage, and 401k matching program.
The Freight Broker will work within our Logistics & Brokerage Team to coordinate cargo movements across the Northeast.
Responsibilities:
TL Feight brokers experience is a must
Works with customers and carrier partners to ensure satisfactory deliveries
Handles sales, rate negotiations, and billing
Manages customer accounts and solves problems
Performs data entry functions
Tracks and traces cargo
Other duties as assigned
MUST HAVE PORT EXPERIENCE!
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, related field, or equivalent experience
Excellent verbal and written communication
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Customer Management Systems
Data entry skills with attention to detail
Experience working in a Customer Service role
Transportation industry experience required
