Job Description Visa Technology & Operations LLC, a Visa Inc. company, needs a Sr. Software Engineer (multiple openings) in Atlanta, GA to:
Work on emerging technologies and build distributed applications.
Collaborate with project team members (Product Managers, Architects, Analysts, Software Engineers, Project Managers, etc.) to ensure development and implementation of new data driven business solutions.
Drive development effort end-to-end for on-time delivery of high-quality solutions that conform to requirements, conform to the architectural vision, and comply with all applicable standards.
Collaborate with senior technical staff and PM to identify, document, plan contingency, track and manage risks and issues until all are resolved.
Present technical solutions, capabilities, considerations, and features in business terms.
Effectively communicate status, issues, and risks in a precise and timely manner.
Partner with Product on implementation strategy.
Position reports to the Atlanta, Georgia office and may allow for partial telecommuting.
Qualifications Basic Qualifications:
Employer will accept a Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or closely related field.
Data analytics and reporting;
Event driven applications with Kafka;
Application orchestration with Airflow;
Python microservices with FastAPI or Flask;
Java microservices with Spring Boot;
Relational Database design (MySQL and MS SQL Server); and
AWS Lambda and Serverless applications.
Additional Information Worksite: Atlanta, GA
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Travel Requirements: This position does not require travel.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.
