General Summary of Position:
Granite is a leading provider of a wide array of managed security and networking platforms. The Security Engineering group is a dynamic, fast paced environment dealing with a comprehensive array of products and services, including Fortinet SD-WAN, Palo Alto, and Cisco.
The position includes customer solution development and deployment support, new product research, design, and implementation, tier 3 technical escalation and management support, as well as facilitating automation and integration initiatives to streamline deployments at scale.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and promote subject matter expertise and platform proficiency
Facilitate customer solution design and deployment based on customer and business needs
Develop and implement hardware and virtual device configurations
Support tier 3 escalation and technical troubleshooting
Network maintenance and patching/update support
Collaborate with business units to identify and improve operational processes and workflows
Required Qualifications:
Self-starter, goal-oriented, ability to work independently without micromanagement
Experience with network security products and concepts, primarily the Fortinet product suite
Hands-on experience with network and security appliance configuration and troubleshooting
Understanding of Networking, TCP/IP, Routing, Switching, SD-WAN
Experience in customer facing technical support roles
Preferred Qualifications:
CCNA/CCNP certification
Fortinet NSE 4 certification or equivalent
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Network Design, Network Security or related field
Experience with coding and automation platforms such as Python, Javascript or similar
