About the Role
The Company is seeking a Senior Counsel, Securities to join their Legal team. The successful candidate will be a key player in ensuring the organization's compliance with public company obligations, with a focus on SEC filings, insider trading, and various regulatory requirements. This role involves providing strategic counsel for capital markets transactions, and being a trusted advisor to teams across the company, including Finance, Accounting, Treasury, Investor Relations, and Compensation. The Senior Counsel, Securities will also be responsible for distilling complex legal issues into clear guidance, developing and maintaining processes to support public company obligations, and engaging in cross-functional work to uphold the company's legal standards.Applicants must be attorneys in good standing with a J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school, and have at least 10 years' of relevant experience, either from a top-tier law firm or in-house counsel. While not mandatory, experience with startups or in the healthcare or insurance industry is considered a bonus. The role requires a proactive individual who can lead in the development and implementation of legal processes, and who can effectively communicate and train to enhance the business's understanding of public company legal and regulatory requirements. The Senior Counsel, Securities will also be expected to maintain strong relationships with company leaders, ensuring that legal needs are met and constantly seeking opportunities for improvement.
