Job Description
CSI Recruiting is working with a dynamic and high-growth oil & gas investment and operating company based in Texas, assisting with their need to hire an experienced and multi-faceted Director of Investor Relations. This firm is very well financed, has been in business for several decades and presently does not have an individual in this specific role.
The Director of Investor Relations Director will play an integral role within the Company by leading the investor relations program and championing objectives. The ideal candidate will understand the Company's financials, strategies, and product suite in order to develop key messaging and materials for the external investor and analyst community. He/She will oversee and improve the process behind all relevant stakeholder experiences, integrate the newest technologies, and train employees to help better improve the investor experience.
Requirements
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Collaborate directly with CFO, EVP, other C suite members, and various other key players as needed, to develop and communicate key messaging regarding customer investment experience.
Oversee Investor Relations Department, focusing on collaboration with other departments to create new processes that build bridges inter-departmentally
Prepare for quarterly distributions, including architecting strategic messaging to investors and distribution partners
Update senior management on relevant and important communications from investors and the media regarding the company/industry
Monitor peer/competitor/industry-related earnings, presentations, and media commentary; compare financial performance/positioning relative to peers, relay highlights to senior management, and assess messaging opportunities
Develop and maintain a standardized reporting model and perform quarterly analyses for each fund.
Regularly update and provide initial and periodic results of projects for sales and marketing
Oversee quarterly valuations of funds and review with the Chief Financial Officer
Oversee presentment preparation and review on a semi-annual basis
Create, maintain, and update corporate decks for external parties and other stakeholders
Update quarterly Fund performance presentations for Due Diligence and Due Diligence events
Act as a liaison to facilitate communication between departments regarding important partnership items
Oversee the Due Diligence process on the finance side under the direction of the Chief Financial Officer
Be the point on all requests coming from sales and marketing
Participate in discussions and presentations regarding investor results to RIA's and other stakeholders
Fully understand all of the company's service offerings
Create & document workflow processes that create ease of use and adoption
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:
Outstanding financial and analytical skills
Ability to understand large volumes of data and explain complex subject matter in an easily digestible manner
Solid comprehension of financial reports/metrics and financial data/analytic tools with a demonstrated ability to learn new concepts quickly and complete multiple/diverse assignments with high levels of quality
Excellent leadership and organizing skills
Strong attention to detail with the ability to write quickly and persuasively under tight deadlines
Ability to meet critical deadlines and pay attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills
Strong understanding of financial Custodial relationships and transactions
Ability to develop and maintain business relationships while working across various departments and levels of management, including senior executives
Professional and proactive work ethic
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or a relevant field required
Master's degree preferred
5-7 years of experience in finance, accounting, and/or investor relations
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Dynamics (CRM), MailChimp, and other marketing tools
Fluent in GP/LP model
Oil and Gas and Transfer Agency experience is a plus
