The Vice President of Risk and Compliance is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing the organization's risk management and compliance strategies. This ideal candidate will develop, implement, and monitor policies and procedures to ensure the company adheres to all legal regulations, industry standards, and internal policies. The VP of Risk and Compliance will play a pivotal role in safeguarding the company’s assets, reputation, and operational integrity.
*Vice President of Risk & Compliance Responsibilities*
* Hold down the key responsibility of Facility Security Officer (FSO) under the company's Special Security Agreement (SSA).
* Retain the secret level clearance required for the FSO role as required by Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DSCA).
* Manage security clearance program, using NISS and DISS; maintain clearances for selected employees.
* Ensure, monitor, control, and secure documentation, information, files that relate to ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) information.
* Ensure that ITAR information is stored and secured and supports the ongoing training and compliance for staff in managing ITAR related matters.
* Ensure that the company's, SSA and FCL is obligations are maintained and fully compliant and operated to the highest audit standards
* Support Health & Safety teams to guide local safety programs.
* Continuously develop the health and safety culture and is directly responsible for meeting all OSHA safety and training requirements.
* Support initiate programs to create/maintain a sustainable world class safety and quality culture.
* Key point of contact for OSHA for both state and federal matters, including complying with incident reporting.
* Undertake ongoing risk assessment on current organization practices, policies, and processes.
* Build out process and policy library and assist Enterprise and Programs with delivery to their teams.
* Identify emerging risks and develop a risk assessment matrix.
* Proactive support leadership with management and mitigation of key risk identified.
*Vice President of Risk & Compliance Position Requirements*
* Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience in managerial roles.
* 5 years of experience in Industrial Security sector; preference in maritime industry.
* FSO certification with 5 years of experience as an FSO.
* Previous export control management experience.
* In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations and standards.
* Experience in manufacturing or defense industries preferred.
* Strong negotiating skills with both legal, financial, and commercial issues.
