JOB DUTIES

May design, analyze, plan, modify, and maintain networks and network components supporting data, voice and/or audio communication activities.

Provide network expertise (CANES, ADNS, and ISNS) in the implementation, operation, configuration, and troubleshooting of network systems prior to and during live and simulated test events

Perform JREAP and network installation

Perform documentation on JREAP and network efforts

Provide SME support for JREAP and network efforts

May conduct network architecture design, feasibility and cost studies as well as internal studies of network performance and traffic analysis.

Duties may include providing specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture; providing information for hardware and software selection; and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements.

Conduct testing of network systems.

Maintain technical expertise in all areas of network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, switchers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways, etc.

Evaluate and reports on new network technologies to enhance capabilities of the network.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Experience and Clearance Bachelors in related field (i.e. networking, computer science, cyber security) preferred

A minimum of 3+ years of experience configuring and operating Integrated Shipboard Network System (ISNS), Automated Digital Network System (ADNS) Inc II, ADNS Inc III with follow on Service Packs/Feature Sets, and Consolidated Afloat Networks and Enterprise Services (CANES).

Network experience and running operations in a fast-paced, continuously evolving environment

Experience providing systems administration support to comply with Risk Management Framework (RMF) requirements.

Experience with selecting, implementing, and configuring network devices including Juniper and Palo Alto Experience with network configuration for integration with cloud environments

Candidate must be a US Citizen

Must currently possess a Security + certification

Hold a DoD Cybersecurity Workforce (CSWF) Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level 2 certification.

Must currently hold an active Secret Clearance
