**About the role**

**The Senior Operations Manager is a highly visible and critical role within a large single distribution operation.; This position leads a team of Manager, Supervisors, Leads, Associates by managing the overall safety, quality, productivity, performance, and customer experience of either Inbound or Outbound operations from picking to delivery.**

**Responsibilities**

* Delivers performance evaluations for direct reports and oversees performance evaluations for entire organization in Clifton

* Delivers warehouse operational objectives by contributing warehouse operations information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; completing audits;

* Assists in monitoring of KPIs to measure efficiency and hold the operation accountable to achieving budgeted productivity targets.

* Comply with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements by understanding and studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions

* Develop team to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short- and long-term performance goals

* Builds people capability through effective employee relations, hiring, training, and communication for front-line hourly and salaried personnel

* Must be willing and able to handle exposure to temperatures and range from freezing to sub-freezing (coolers, freezers, etc.)

**Qualifications**

* 7 to 10 years of Sr. Operations management experience in warehouse/retail setting

* Bachelor's Degree in Business or related fields

* Experience in warehouse safety programs and OHSA compliance to ensure a safe work environment for all associates and managers

* Great leadership, organizational, and communication skills; ability to inspire staff and peers

* Lean or Six Sigma Certifications a plus

* Bilingual in Spanish is a huge plus

* Strong computer proficiency in MS Office applications

* Experience with WMS and TMS software applications

* Must be able to work various shifts of a 24/7 operation
