Duties include providing vision and oversight for the design, security, implementation and maintenance of network related software and hardware, systems administration and network system support; maintaining and installing new and upgraded operating systems for servers, routers and switches; establishing and maintaining guidelines for system and network back-up; administering network installation and updates of production software; coordinating network security issues with the IT Infrastructure Manager; working with hardware and software vendors on installation, project coordination, maintenance and emergency response; maintaining, upgrading and supporting Palo Alto Next Generation firewalls and all Cisco network switching/routing; as well as providing network support after-hours and on weekends as necessary. A Bachelor's degree, or equivalent, in computer science, information technology or a closely related field and three years experience are required. Certifications such as CCNA, MCSA, CompTIA Network+ -are highly desirable. Familiarity with cloud computing concepts and platforms (e.g., Azure) is a plus. Duties involve access to sensitive Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS), which requires that a thorough background check be conducted. Candidates will be subject to a polygraph exam and criminal history check. In accordance with CJIS requirements, must not have any criminal conviction as an adult or juvenile above the grade of a Class B misdemeanor or any Class B misdemeanor within the past 10 years; other convictions may also be considered.A résumé must be submitted with application.

Individuals hired into this position will receive $1000 after their first 30 days of employment provided there are no documented attendance or disciplinary issues.
Employees that successfully complete their 6-month orientation period will receive an additional one-time payment of $1000 provided there are no documented attendance or disciplinary issues.
Employees that successfully complete one year of employment without
documented attendance or disciplinary issues will receive an additional one-time payment of $1000.
The maximum amount of hiring incentive that an individual employee may receive is $3,000.
