Director of Sales - Corporate

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in RV sales, possess exceptional leadership skills, and demonstrate the ability to manage multiple sales locations.

Job Responsibilities:

Sales Management and Strategy

The Director of Sales is directly responsible for the management of sales processes and expectations in all Dealerships throughout the organization.

Assist General Managers in planning, executing, organizing, and controlling the activities of the Sales Department to achieve the established standards for performance, including meeting the dealership's budget for gross profit, volume, and customer satisfaction standards.

Manage and lead the RV sales team to meet and exceed sales targets.

Develop and execute strategies to optimize inventory, pricing, and merchandising.

Identify areas for improvement and develop sales plans and strategies to achieve sales goals.

Set quarterly and annual sales goals and motivate the sales teams to achieve their goals.

Collaborate with finance and executive teams to develop budgets and financial plans for business development and sales initiatives.

Monitor expenditures and ensure effective resource allocation to maximize ROI.

Help manage all other aspects and day-to-day operations of the department.

Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and company policies.

Collaborate with other departments and corporate partners to drive overall business success.

Customer Relationship Management

Work directly with employees and customers to develop relationships and help bridge disconnects in the sales process.

Oversee the implementation and management of CRM systems to enhance customer engagement and retention.

Review customer activity, anticipate customer needs, and improve customer satisfaction.

Team Leadership and Development

Recruit, hire, train, motivate, counsel, and develop the sales management staff.

Conduct regular staff meetings to review all aspects of operations and communicate in a timely manner.

Develop future managers through job growth and performance; evaluate sales staff; be a role model.

Conduct sales meetings to motivate and train sales professionals.

Adhere to high ethical standards while maintaining gross profit and customer satisfaction.

Create a positive sales culture and a 'team' atmosphere focusing on employee retention.

Conduct timely and constructive performance evaluations.

Operations and Control

Ensure Dealerships operate to corporate standards including RV showrooms and display merchandising.

Audit the website, ensuring all specials are updated with pricing and compliant.

Manage dealer expenses, with consistent monthly reviews.

Assist in the development of advertising campaigns and other promotions to support the sales department.

Work with the marketing department to design print and online promotional materials for the company's products and services.

Attend and contribute to high-level corporate meetings.

Work directly with the inventory team to assist with inventory forecasting on an individual location basis to ensure optimal stock levels.

Provide weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting to the CMSO as directed.

Reporting and Analytics

Build and monitor daily, weekly, and monthly reports to track sales performance and results.

Analyze sales data to inform strategic decisions and improve sales processes.

Create sales reports and provide feedback to the leadership team at company meetings.

Measure and track KPIs, reporting them to the Chief Marketing & Sales Officer.

Lead weekly meetings with retail locations, communicated expectations to the GSMs and Sales Managers.  Review staffing, scheduling, training, KPIs, results, and forward strategy.

Monitor the market and competitor products and activities and provide detailed sales forecasting.

Minimum of 5+ years multi unit experience working in RV dealership management, Sales, and CRM software.

Extensive RV sales management with a proven track record of consistent departmental sales growth.

Experience with inventory management, forecasting at an enterprise level.

Proven track record of running large scale sales departments in the RV or automotive Industry.

High School diploma or equivalent required.

Strong leadership and team-building skills.

Demonstrated ability to communicate, present, and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization.

Sales and trend forecasting abilities.

Proven ability to drive the sales process from inception to execution.

Experience with mentoring, coaching, and management of large scale sales teams.

Proven track record of achieving goals.

Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.

Analytical and data-driven decision-making approach.

Customer-centric mindset and commitment to excellence.

Ability to work in fast paced, high energy environments.

Self-motivated, goal-oriented, results and accountability focused.

Current, valid driver's license

All potential employees must pass pre-employment testing, including a background check and drug screen.

Willingness to travel as directed.
