Proactively leverage your expertise in SQL queries, procedures, and report writing to streamline the flow of information based on business needs. Provide comprehensive technical support for desktop systems, troubleshooting complex issues efficiently. Offer support, guidance, and training to end-users, empowering them to effectively utilize desktop systems and applications across both Windows and MacOS operating systems.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive desktop support services to end-users, ensuring the functionality and efficiency of desktop systems.

Install, configure, and maintain desktop hardware and software, including operating systems, applications, and peripherals.

Assist in creating and modifying reporting tools using Crystal Reports and Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services.

Troubleshoot hardware, software, printing (especially label printers), and network issues promptly and effectively, resolving technical problems to minimize downtime.

Implement and support Veeam Backup & Replication solutions, ensuring data protection and disaster recovery capabilities.

Administer VMware virtualization technologies, including VMware vSphere, to optimize performance and scalability.

Develop and maintain documentation, procedures, and best practices for desktop support and related technologies.

Promote awareness and discuss cyber security practices with end-users.

Provide technical guidance and training to end-users, ensuring they can effectively utilize desktop systems and applications.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Proven experience as a Desktop Support Engineer or similar role.

Strong knowledge of desktop operating systems (Windows, macOS) and productivity software (Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Cloud).

Hands-on experience with Veeam Backup & Replication, VMware vSphere, and Microsoft SQL Server.

Familiarity with networking concepts, protocols, and troubleshooting methodologies.

Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and end-users.
