FULL-STACK SOFTWARE ENGINEER
Boston As a full-stack engineer at RedCircle, you’ll be working on RedCircle’s product at all points in the stack; both in our Golang back-end service and our React SPA front-end. You’ll work on new product features from end-to-end, creating delightful and beautiful new functionality for podcasters and marketers. We’ve got pixel-perfect UI work, complex business logic to implement, and challenging system-wide architectural problems to solve. RedCircle’s high-scale podcast platform is responsible for the delivery of petabytes of content each month. Our system manages instant high-cardinality analytics, the construction of dynamic audio in real-time, and complex business logic for payments, all via an intuitive UI. Our full team operates and deploys our services in AWS (SQS, Dynamo, EC2, etc).
This job involves tackling problems at all levels, taking responsibility, learning new techniques and technologies, and growing with the business. If you’re looking for challenging technical work with real positive impact, this is the job for you.
The team is led by the company’s CEO (an engineer by training), and you’ll collaborate with other engineers, product managers, and designers.
A perfect candidate…
Has at least 1 year of experience out of school / bootcamp / internships on back end systems. A few is preferred.
Knows Go or is willing to learn. Python is a plus.
Loves JavaScript / TypeScript.
Is experienced with React or is ready to dive deep into it.
Is excited about applying web technologies to create beautiful interactive UIs.
Is comfortable / experienced with typical dev tools in a *nix environment (e.g. familiarity with the command line, git, etc).
Works collaboratively and loves designing solutions with the team.
Loves to learn, whether they’ve been in the industry for 1 year or 15.
Gets jazzed about owning projects from end-to-end. We’re a small team, so you’ll be responsible for as much as you want to take on.
Works in Boston or is willing to relocate. We work in a hybrid environment, with at least a few days a week in the office.
