Known for its strong work ethic this 3PL has been in business for over 40 years. They have the flexibility of a smaller company but the capacity and operational support of a larger firm. They don't do freight forwarding but consistently do cross-border freight into Canada. Those with backgrounds in Flatbed, Dry Van, and Truckload will be successful here.
About the Opportunity:
In order to continue their aspirations for growth, they are looking for a Director of Business Development. This role will cold-call, hunt, and develop new business. Preference will be given to candidates with a current book of business and previous experience with Flatbed, Dry Van, and Truckload freight. Candidates must have four years of relevant work experience and be open to working remotely in Indianapolis.
Duties:
Cold-call, hunt, and develop new business
Maintain any current book of business brought to the company
Lead and manage all sales, marketing, and admin duties
Maintain and form executive-level relationships with shippers
Qualifications:
Minimum of 4 Years of logistics sales experience
Previous experience working with Truckload, Flatbed, and Dry Van freight
Able to sell multiple modes of freight
Capable of managing and motivating employees effectively
Previous book of business is preferred
No Non-Compete is required
Able to work remotely
Previous experience working with McCleod is a plus
